My Story
About Me
My love of all things 'home' led me here. After helping a number of wonderful local families with theirs, I'm finding myself in the niche of designing creative, budget friendly solutions for spaces that could be used in a much more functional, inviting & beautiful way.
While I work in all areas of design, my true love is room by room makeovers, especially small or challenging areas in need of some vision & personality.
I source most of my decor and furnishings from places like World Market, Home Goods, Target, Etsy, local antique shops or even sometimes make it myself with repurposed materials in order to work within cost parameters-- and you would never know in the end!
I grew up in Annapolis, MD and ended up in my husband's home town of Kensington a few years after we graduated from the University of Maryland. It was in this quaint little town that I learned all about his family's lifelong house-flipping adventures and it was also here that I discovered my undying love of old homes loaded with quirks, character and challenges ;)
With a ton of help of Matt's family, we renovated our first home the year we got married-- an adorable little 1940s Cape Cod that was the perfect first time fixer. Since then, we've completed 3 more of our own big & small home renovations-- most recently, our (6 month long) major addition and whole house overhaul after living there for 5 years.
It was during this renovation that I realized I really REALLY love doing this. At that same time, I had a couple of friends ask me for help with their own home projects & renovations-- from sprucing up a family room to fixture & tile selection to kitchen design to to converting a shed into an epic teen hangout cave! That's when I knew I wanted to make this my official business.
I can't wait to see what fun, new projects lie ahead in the future...
